Association RéVEIL

The Réseau de Valorisation Economique d’Initiatives Locales des Migrants (RéVEIL) is an association for the mobilization, reflection and action of migrants from Africa, in particular, who participate in the emergence of local socio-economic development. The A2MTC (Acquir du Matériel pour Mécaniser le Traitement de la récolte de Céréales) project is taking place in the rural village of Wompou in Mauritania. The project consists of several stages: mechanization of rice processing in the village to reduce the drudgery of manual processing, increase productivity and the quality of clean rice, create individual and collective sources of income in the levillage (sale of surplus rice) and create jobs in the village, particularly for women and young people.

SOCAPS Fund supports the drive to improve working conditions in rural communities, while promoting economic empowerment and food security for families, and strengthening the local cooperative’s ability to manage income-generating activities.

Due to Covid 19, the project has been postponed until the borders between Mauritania and Senegal are reopened.
