04 Jul International Day of Cooperatives 2026
The United Nations International Day of Cooperatives 2026 was held on July 4 under the theme “Cooperatives for World Peace,” highlighting the key role of cooperatives in promoting social justice, inclusion, and solidarity.
This year’s chosen theme, “Cooperatives for World Peace,” resonates particularly strongly with what we experience every day at SOCAPS.
In a world marked by tensions, uncertainties, and social and environmental crises, the cooperative model reminds us of a powerful truth: a business can be a place of trust, cooperation, and shared responsibility…. In short, it is within businesses that we best build a better society.
At SOCAPS, we are convinced that cooperation is not merely a legal status. It is a way of doing business.
It means choosing to:
build together with our members, our teams, our customers, and our partners
put economic performance at the service of a meaningful and sustainable project (our Mission)
to connect skills, cultures, and regions across more than 70 countries
to provide technical support for the positive transformation of industries.
Our purpose is simply stated: “Guided by our cooperative principles, we work together to provide technical support for the positive transformation of industries and their prosperity.”
